Casey Davis, who is the Casey County Clerk in Kentucky, is standing in interposition against the U.S. Supreme Court’s repugnant interpretation of the U. S. Constitution. The Obergefell opinion desires to trample 31 state constitutions. Governors across the nation are hiding behind the lie that they took an oath to uphold constitutional rulings by the Supreme Court. In reality, they took an oath to uphold the Constitution. The Governor of Kentucky is telling Clerk Davis that he must issue marriage licenses to homosexuals or resign. Casey is rightly refusing to do so. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear stated in a news article: “But, my position is clear because I took the same oath they did, and that oath is to uphold that constitutional ruling, regardless as to what you feel about it.” This is the fiction most governors want people to believe. The truth is he took an oath to uphold the Constitution – not a court opinion which is repugnant to the Constitution. Now, more than ever – his true duty is to uphold the Constitution in the face of judicial tyranny. Whenever one branch of government decides to play the tyrant – it is incumbent upon all other branches (federal, state, county, or local) to resist the tyrannical actions of that branch – even the Supreme Court. That is true federalism.
Here is a letter Pastor Matt Trewhella sent to Clerk Davis.

Dear County Clerk Davis,
Thank you for standing in defiance of Federal tyranny – so rare in our day. You have encouraged the hearts of many. The interposition of the lower magistrates is necessary and needed at this time in our country’s history. I have enclosed a book I have written that will assure you and others that your action is legitimate and proper. This book shows the magistrates and the people what their duty is and exposes the lie of the lower magistrates that they can do no other than “simply obey.” I hope it is a blessing to your heart and mind.
I read that your governor stated, “But, my position is clear because I took the same oath they did [talking about you and the other county clerk], and that oath is to uphold that constitutional ruling, regardless as to what you feel about it.” This is the fiction most governors want people to believe. The truth is he took an oath to uphold the Constitution [and his state constitution] – not a court opinion which is repugnant to the Constitution. Now, more than ever – his true duty is to uphold the Constitution in the face of judicial tyranny – as it is yours.
Thank you for your stand. Thank you for hazarding your own life. Thank you for your fealty to Christ and your interposition against such evil. I want you to know that we will rally around you at all cost – with our persons, with our finances, with our prayers. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!
