After Washington Governor David Inslee declared that anyone not wearing a mask in public will be charged with a misdemeanor starting on June 26th, a rally was held in Lewis County, Washington.
Lewis County Sheriff Robert Snaza declared to the people gathered at the rally – which was held in a church parking lot – that they should defy the governor’s order.
“In case you guys didn’t hear, Gov. Inslee in his infinite wisdom has decided after over a hundred and some odd days that we should all wear face masks — inside and out,” Snaza declared into a bullhorn while wearing his uniform and no face cover.
Sheriff Snaza was videoed stating: “Here’s what I say: Don’t be a sheep.”
Thurston and Grant Counties have also made clear they will not enforce the Governor’s order.
This is the interposition of the lesser magistrates – where they step in and stop the evil of the superior authority.
The defiant rally came several hours after the Democratic governor ordered residents to wear masks both inside and outside — or face a $1,000 fine and up to 90 days in jail.
Remember – Governor Inslee has released 1000 inmates from prison due to Covid-19. Now he wants to make those who have enough common sense not to wear a mask into criminals
Dozens of people gathered around Sheriff Snaza are then shown cheering, clapping and waving American flags in the video footage. This is a major tenet of the doctrine of the lesser magistrates – the role of the people. The people are to prod their magistrates to oppose the tyranny of the superior magistrate and rally around him when they do.
