Lutherans Publish Magdeburg Confession

I always say that the Lutherans are like the trees in the Lord of the Rings. It takes them a long time to act, but when they do – they really pack a punch. The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod has published a translation of the Magdeburg Confession – and they have done an excellent job! We highly recommend this translation to everyone. The translation work is excellent, as is the introduction and all the notes.

The translator – Christian Preus – wrote me a kind and heartfelt personal letter on the back of the front cover in the copy that was sent to me. He wrote in part, “Without your work and Colvin’s translation this edition of the Confession would never have come to light.” Such kind and heartwarming words. We published the first-ever translation of the Magdeburg Confession into English back in 2012.

May we see Christ’s kingdom expand in the earth – and may He use, in part, these words penned by Christian men so many years ago.
