In this, the 13th and final video in our first video series on the Lesser Magistrate Doctrine, we discuss how the laws of a nation should mirror the law and justice of God.
When the law and justice of the magistrate mirror the law and justice of God, men are able to more readily see God’s justice and their guilt before Him for violating His law. But when the magistrates rebel and make law contrary to God’s law, it hinders people from clearly seeing their sin and guilt, and hence, their need for Christ.
In the book entitled The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates: A Proper Resistance to Tyranny and A Repudiation of Unlimited Obedience to the Civil Government the validity of this assertion is shown in more detail.
